Just Me

I don't want a Public Inquiry

With all due respect to Jeremy Corbyn and his desire for a public inquiry into the response of the UK to Gaza and the treatment of Palestians in the occupied Palestinian Territories, I don't want this.

I don't want another 10 year endeavour that eventually reports that Oops, they got it wrong. They should have done differently.

What good would this do? It took a TV drama series for the Post Office victims to even begin to receive any sort of justice. The victims of the blood contamination scandal are still waiting to receive their compensation. There have been no arrests of the people responsible for the Grenfell Tower fire disaster. The Chilcott Inquiry into the Iraq War was read and accepted and nothing was learned and nothing was changed.

Laws are being broken in plain sight. There are people in this country who might have broken the law. They should be investigated by the police and where appropriate, criminal charges should be brought.

I don't want a public inquiry, I want a police inquiry.
